Residents of Sunworld Vanalika are living in unregistered flats. Find out why

Residents of Sunworld Vanalika, a residential society in Sector 107, Noida, are unable to get the registry of their flats done, as the builder is yet to clear its land dues to Noida Authority.

The society has 12 towers, with about 1,000 flats.
The developer has failed to pay the installments to Noida Authority against land dues to the tune of Rs 36 crore. Noida Local News
Residents said the Authority provided occupancy certificates for six towers in January 2017, but the developer failed to get completion certificates — an important document for property registration.
The six towers have about 500 flats, and none of them are registered.
Atul Agarwal, a resident of Sunworld Vanalika, told City Spidey, “The builder has already applied for completion certificates for the six towers, but Noida Authority is not ready to release the certificates because of the dues.” Noida News
Santosh Kumar, officer on special duty (OSD), group housing department of Noida Authority, told City Spidey, “We have spoken to the developer. According to our new policy, we have asked the developer to deposit 10 per cent of the dues, so the Authority can provide completion certificates. At the time of registry, the developer will need to submit 65 per cent of the dues for the registry of flats to happen.”
