On Tuesday morning, Bakshi gave him Rs 3 lakh to deposit in the bank but he fled with the money and some apparels. He was last seen at an auto stand in the city.
“We had always trusted him with cash and other valuables," said Bakshi. "One of my biggest mistakes was that I never got his police verification done. Although I had his details I now realise that police verification is a must.”
"I tried calling him but his number is switched off," he added.
Some sources have informed that he had purchased a new mobile and taken a new SIM card 3-4 days back.
