How do you tackle monkey menace? The simplest answer: Hire a langur.
That’s what the builder did to protect the residents of Paramount Floraville, a residential society in Sector 137, Noida.

The society is still under construction, but about 1,200 families have already started to live there.

Though there have been no incidents of physical attacks, monkeys can get aggressive. Children feel unsafe to go outside and senior citizens, too, don’t feel confident about taking their morning walks.
According to Animesh Bharadwaj, estate manager of Pramount Floraville, “We got a lot of complaints from the society residents, so we had to take this step.”
He added that there was almost a 75 per cent drop in the number of monkeys around after the langur was hired. RWA Managemnet System
But here’s what’s not right.
To hire a langur, one must take permission from the forest department. But the builder, according to HV Girish, divisional forest officer of Gautam Budh Nagar, has apparently not done so. Apartment Management Software
He confirmed, “No permission was given to any builder to hire a langur. I’ll send a team for inspection, and in case of violations, strict action will be initiated.”
