Noida: Fans throng GIP mall to watch India-Pak cricket match

The atmosphere is electric at The Great India Place (GIP) mall in Sector 38A, Noida, where a giant screen is showing the biggest sporting event for the country today – an India-Pakistan cricket match. Yes, it is a live telecast of the India-Pakistan match in the ICC Champions Trophy, a cricket encounter taking place after many, many years.

Dhirender Tyagi, the security head of GIP Mall, told City Spidey that the mall had decided to instal the giant screen for visitors, as the footfall was maximum on the weekends. A screen was also placed inside the premises of the mall at the Worlds of Wonder.
Atul Anand, who was enjoying the match in the water park adjacent to the mall, said it was an opportunity for the cricket fans to watch the India-Pakistan match in a fun-filled and exciting environment. "The Indian team is much better than the Pakistan team, and I am hoping for good results. After that, I will celebrate India's victory with my friends," he said.
Neha Gupta, another visitor, told City Spidey that it was a a chance to see the Men in Blue and enjoy the blue waters at the water park simultaneously. “My husband is a cricket fan but we always spend our Sundays outside our home. But when he came to know about this giant screen and live screening of the match, the choice was clear – GIP Mall – as we can do both, an outing as well as watch live screening of the cricket match," she said.
“I am also hoping India will win by a huge margin," she added.
