Dwarka District Police have become strict with a zero tolerance Concept for the people who consume liquor in open at public places. Police has started its action against the offenders and a special drive against public drinking carried out by Dwarka police to give a strict message to offenders who drink in public places. According to police total 201 offenders apprehended by personnel of Dwarka district police over the weekend.
On 20 May and 21 May 2023, a drive against public drinking was carried out in various places of Dwarka district by Dwarka Police. Motive was to create safer public spaces for all. The teams were constituted under the supervision of concern SHOs and overall supervision of ACPs Dwarka district. Many persons were apprehended by the Police under 40-A Excise Act. A total of 201 persons were apprehended by the Dwarka Police.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dwarka District, M Harshvardhan says, “There is zero tolerance on any such activity. Offenders would be dealt strictly with laws.”

Community people have welcomed the action of DCP and applauded the efforts of the police personnel who carried out the drive.
General secretary of RWA, Sector 16B, Studio Apartments, Ramesh Mumukshu says, “ Such drives are important to keep the public places safer.
Police must carry such drives on weekends.” President of RWA, Dwarkadheesh Apartments Sector 12, Anjana Sinha says, “ Good to know that offenders are being prosecuted. Such drives must continue to create a fear of law in those people who do open drinking.”
