“If you really want to give a gift to your future generations, the best will be a plastic and litter-free society. We as athletes from DXR runners group tried to give this message through your run and a cleaning drive,” says one of the founders of DXR runners group Dwarka. It was Sunday and the athletes associated with the group were busy cleaning the roads, footpaths, etc apart from their daily schedule of running. They carried the plogging and jogging drive at Golf course road Dwarka in which more than 100 group members with their families including kids participated. They cleaned the entire stretch and interested with the community people to give the message clean Dwarka green Dwarka and “Say no to single use plastic”.
Ajit Kumar Yadav a member of DXR who was in the drive shares, “ It’s high time to educate and sensitise our kids about the importance of a clean environment and plastic-free life. We just started this initiative and will be carrying this ahead as well periodically.”
