CBSE declares class 12 results: 87.33 percent students pass the exam

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the results of the class 12 Board Examinations on Friday. Around 87.33 percent of students passed the exam. Last year, the pass percentage was 92.71. This year, a total number of 16.60 lakh students appeared for the CBSE Class 12 exams.

Thiruvananthapuram has the highest pass percentage in the Class 12 examination in the country, with 99.91 percent success.  Around 1.36 percent of students who appeared in the 12th exams achieved 95 percent or higher. Girls outperformed boys by 6.01%, according to the results.

The exams were held in February, March, and April and were administered in an offline mode.

As per the earlier decision of the Board, no merit list has been declared by the CBSE to avoid unhealthy competition among students. Also, the Board is not awarding first, second, or third divisions to its students.

Results are accessible online at cbse.gov.in, the official CBSC website (https://cbseresults.nic.in/). Students can access results by going directly to results.cbse.nic.in. They can also see their results and grade sheets via the DigiLocker app.
