Around 4000 flats of 20 builder projects in Greater Noida are facing registration issues due to the builders' negligence. The buyers are paying their dues to the government, but they are not getting ownership rights due to the lack of a registry. The Greater Noida Authority has taken several relief provisions, including issuing building/tower-wise completion certificates, to help buyers get their homes. However, many builders are still negligent in this regard.
According to Soumya Srivastava, OSD of Greater Noida Authority, permission has been given for 4000 flats of 20 builder projects to get completion certificates and sublease deeds/registry. However, the names of the buyers are not being registered. To help buyers, regular camps are being organized for registry in the authority office premises. The Greater Noida Authority has also published project-wise public information about these flats on its website. The builders have been warned that action will be taken against them if they do not register the names of the buyers as per the terms of the allotment/lease deed and RERA provisions.
