Greater Noida: Residents of Sector Omicron 3, Beta 1 of Greater Noida, and Galaxy Royal Society, Greater Noida West have been facing water issues for the past few days. Water is overflowing due to the bursting of the Ganga Jal pipeline in Beta 1.
A resident of Galaxy Royal Society said that since summer is at its peak, the water pressure in the area has gone low. This obstructs the daily household chores.
Harinder Bhati, a resident of sector beta 1 told, “There was water wastage due to the bursting of the Gangajal pipeline in front of house number E-281 late on Saturday night and we requested the officials to get it repaired soon. Now the sewer is overflowing in front of house number E-267. He also said "I have already complained about both issues. The sewer and water department of GNIDA should pay attention."
Amit Kulshrestha, a resident of the Galaxy Royal Society said, "Borewell cannot be used due to GNIDA guidelines, the authority is supplying water with low pressure, which is inadequate for the society. They are demanding an upgrade of the two-inch pipeline into the four-inch one in July 2022, but no action has been taken by the authority. A complaint on the issue of low-pressure water supply was registered but there was no clear response from the authority.”

Chahat Bhati, RWA President of Sector Omicron 3 said, “The summer is at its peak and here we are getting low-pressure water supply in Sector Omicron 3 for the last four days. Water is coming with such a low pressure that even the motors are unable to pump the water into the houses. So, the authority should take the issue seriously and resolve it as soon as possible.”
