The indefinite strike called by residents of Saviour Park Society, Ghaziabad, continues on the seventh day. However, neither the police administration nor the Ghaziabad Development Authority seems to be bothered about it.
A resident of the Saviour Park Society informs CitySpidey that instead of resolving their issues, the police tried to stop their ongoing peaceful protest by using force. The AOA has talked to them and said that the residents will continue to protest till their demands aren’t addressed.

Kanchan Arora, AOA vice president of the Saviour Park Society, told us, “There has been no cooperation from the administration. The administration has ignored the complaints of the 25 victims and on the contrary, false FIRs were filed against the residents.” He further states that even after the interference of the police, women, elders, and members of the AOA will stand firm on the stage until their demands get fulfilled.
Sandeep Verma, a resident of the Saviour Park Society, informed us, “The police forced us to quit the strike as Section 144 applies to public places. Residents protested against the police and told them that our society is private property. The builder has also written that the property was private, and the Municipal Corporation also considers it so they can continue the strike.
A member of the AOA committee said that the GDA and the administration have not responded to the issue. He asked the citizens and the AOAs of other communities to come and lend their support.
