Noida stares at better future, to launch E-cycle

Preparations have been made in Noida, India, to introduce E-Cycles as an eco-friendly mode of transportation. Turban Mobility LLP has been given the task of implementing this public-private partnership (PPP) project, which includes the construction of 31 docking stations. The company has spent more than one crore on the docking stations, and 25 of them have been equipped with electricity meters to charge the cycles. noida news

To book an E-Cycle, users must download an app and pay a security deposit of 299 rupees. The cost of renting an e-cycle is fixed at 15 rupees for the first 30 minutes, with an additional charge of 1 rupee per minute after that. There will also be a posh charge of 0.50 paise per minute. Payment for the rental fee will be digital.

Each dock station will have ten E-Cycles with a range of 50 km once fully charged. The cycles come with high-quality tyres, brakes, side hooks, chain locks, stands and a lighting system. The cycles can be used with or without pedals, and are tracked by GPS to prevent theft.

The project aims to save 1125 tonnes of carbon emissions annually, as an e-cycle is used at least three times a day. In total, 500 cycles can make 1500 rounds per day.

To cover costs, the company will have advertising space of up to 50 square metres at each dock station. Additionally, there will be a mobile charging van that can be used to charge the cycles along the way.
