Noida to soon host Dinosaurs - Know where

Noida NewsThe first Natural Trail of Artificial Zoo theme park is set to be constructed in Noida, near the Mahamaya flyover. The park will feature figures of dinosaurs, rhinos, crocodiles, pythons, monkeys, and birds made of scrap metal, and visitors will have access to food as well.

Built by Z Tech India Private Limited, the park will be modeled after a zoo and will cover an area of around 25 acres. The construction work is scheduled to commence on April 15, with an estimated cost of around 15 crore rupees. The park will be unique, as its concept will be based on 4D technology.

The park's movements and sounds will be created using the 4D concept, with this technique also being applied to the wild animals. While the animals will not be real, their reactions will be in no way inferior to those of real animals, with the figures having body movements and sounds like real animals. Visitors will be provided with a guide to ensure they have a fully informed experience. The park has been named Okhla Bird Century, and a link road will be constructed to connect it directly to the bird sanctuary, ensuring easy accessibility for locals.

The park will be developed under Recreational Green in an area of 25 hectares as part of the Master Plan 2031. Artwork will be made from scrap metal, with figures representing the ghats of Banaras, the ghats of Ayodhya, and other landmarks. About 500 tonnes of scrap metal will be used to create the various sculptures, with the iron being recycled at the plant before being turned into artwork for the park. Plastic waste will also be used in the park's construction.

The park will be located on the border between Noida and Delhi, near Kalindi Kunj in Delhi. It is easily accessible by metro, located opposite the Okhla Bird Sanctuary metro station. The company that builds the park will be responsible for its operation and maintenance for 20 years, meaning the Noida Authority will not have to spend any money on upkeep.

UP RERA warned the house buyers in Noida

Noida NewsThe Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) has issued a warning to the people of Noida and Greater Noida, urging them to follow the rules of the authority before paying any advance for buying a property. The UP RERA has stated that if buyers fail to follow the rules, it may cost them. As per the regulations, buyers should only deposit 10% of the total cost of the property in advance, and if any builder demands more than that, buyers can file a complaint with the UP RERA, which will take appropriate action against the builder or seller.

UP RERA officials have shared this information through Twitter and other social media platforms to educate people about the regulations and prevent them from being taken advantage of by developers. They have also uploaded all the information regarding the rules on the official website of UPRERA for buyers to refer to in case of any doubts.

There are currently 50,000 cases pending in UP RERA, with the highest number of cases being reported from Noida and Ghaziabad, followed by Lucknow.

Abhishek Kumar, President of NEFOWA, has welcomed the move by the UP RERA, stating that it will benefit property buyers. K.K. Noida residents react to ‘one sector, one RWA’ policy

Noida News: The Noida authority has recently announced plans to dissolve 30 Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) in the 30 sectors of Noida, which has caused panic among the affected RWAs. The authority has sent a letter to the Deputy Registrar of Meerut requesting action to end the existence of these 30 extra RWAs, as there are already 120 RWAs present for the 90 residential sectors in the city. The authority claims that these extra RWAs often create conflicts, which can lead to problems.

However, the RWAs have different opinions on the matter. Pulkit Gupta, general secretary of RWA sector 51 block A&B, stated that it is not easy for one RWA to manage a big sector like 51 and that every sector has different geographical structures and problems, which cannot be measured by a single parameter. He also said that they will check if the authority can dissolve a registered RWA according to laws.

Pulkit Gupta

Sanjeev Kumar, general secretary of RWA sector 51 block C, D, E & F, welcomed the decision of the Noida authority, but also stated that practically, it is not possible for a single RWA to manage a vast area like sector 51, which is around 4-5 km. He also blamed the Deputy Registrar for registering all the RWAs.

Sanjeev Kumar

K.K. Jain, general secretary of FONRWA, said that technically, the authority was right and that there should be only one RWA in every sector to avoid chaos and contradictions between RWAs.

K.K. Jain

Abhishek Kumar, President of NEFOWA, disagreed and said that it was a wrong move taken by the authority as one RWA cannot manage a vast area alone. He suggested that the authorities should rethink the matter and that they would write a letter to the authority regarding this.

Laxmi Narayan, President of RWA sector 19, welcomed the decision of the authority and said that they have been demanding it. He also suggested that there should be only one RWA in the sector to make it easier to work and avoid contradictions between RWAs.

The authority has emphasized that in reality, there should be only 90 RWAs in the 90 sectors of the city, and action should be taken to end the extra RWAs in the city.

Noida city to have 1st-ever International Cricket Arena

Noida News: Noida will soon have its first-ever international cricket stadium, giving residents the opportunity to enjoy international cricket matches in their own city.

On Tuesday, the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) approved the construction of an international-level cricket stadium in Sector 150 of Noida. In addition to international-level cricket matches, IPL matches will also be played in this stadium.

The committee of the UP Cricket Association has approved the proposal for the construction of the stadium, which will be located near the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. Once built, it will be the fourth cricket stadium in the state where international-level cricket matches can be played. Currently, there are two international-level cricket stadiums in UP, located in Kanpur and Lucknow. A new big cricket stadium is also being planned for Varanasi.

Apart from hosting international matches, IPL matches and domestic-level cricket matches will also be played in this stadium. The Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association has announced that the stadium will be ready within the next three years. Tata, Godrej, Birla and other developers have also been given the green light to build this stadium on March 17. The upcoming stadium will have all the international-level facilities and a seating capacity of 40,000 people. After Kanpur, Lucknow and Varanasi, Noida will become the fourth city in Uttar Pradesh to have an International Cricket Academy. The UPCA has already acquired all the land necessary for this project. Additionally, the association has expressed interest in building another stadium in Ghaziabad if the land is available.

Greater Noida already has a cricket stadium that has been recognized by the International Cricket Council (ICC). In 2016, the ICC gave its official recognition to the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Cricket Stadium located in Greater Noida. This cleared the way for organizing international matches, but so far, not a single international match has taken place in this stadium due to various reasons. With the construction of an international stadium in Noida, many international cricket matches, including IPL, will also be organized here.

Dwarka: LG launches Aapda Mitra programme at IP University

Dwarka News“Role of Aapda Mitra at the time of disaster is very important as they are trained to respond for the purpose. Their help cannot be forgotten as they tender first help at the time of need”, said the LG of Delhi Vinai Kumar Saxena. We are trying to match other states in the field of disaster management. Aapda Mitra training is a part of this initiative,” said the LG.

He further said, the role of these trained volunteers was not confined to only disasters but expected their response to petty incidents like, road accidents, snatching, eve teasing, etc.

Good News: Noida Authority begins work on skywalk at Aqua Line metro

Noida NewsAfter years of waiting, there is finally some good news for the straphangers of the Aqua line. The Noida authority has started construction on a skywalk that will connect the Noida Sector 51 metro station with the Sector 52 metro station.

The skywalk will be a game changer for the passengers. Currently, daily travellers have to come out of the campus to change stations, but after the construction is complete, they will be able to walk through the skywalk to switch stations, making the process much quicker. Despite the NMRC providing rickshaw shuttle facilities between these stations, commuters still have to wait 5 to 10 minutes due to the increasing footfall between the stations.

The Aqua line Sector 51 metro station has nearly 17,000 daily straphangers while the Blue line Sector 52 metro station has 45,000 straphangers. Keeping this in mind, the Noida authority has started the construction of the skywalk. The skywalk will cost 9 crores and will be 5 meters wide and around 420 meters long. The deadline for completing the project is set for the 5th of October.

In November last year, the Noida authority floated the tender to construct the skywalk and awarded the contract to Iqbal Construction Co. The company has also started the construction work of the skywalk.

Ashutosh Kumar a daily commuter of this Aqua line and Blue line, told us that he currently has to come out of the campus to change stations and wait for 5-10 minutes for the rickshaw to arrive, or he has to walk 500 meters to reach the Aqua line. Due to this, he often gets late for work. He added that after the construction of this skywalk, it will be easier for him and others to travel between these stations.

It is worth noting that on 12.12.2022, the Noida Authority issued a dog policy, mandating the registration of all pets located within its limits on the NAPR (Noida Authority Pet Reg.) app. The registration and renewal fee for pet animals in Noida Authority is Rs. 500/-. However, there is no fee for the registration of indigenous breed dogs.

The NAPR app also offers free anti-rabies vaccines along with 6 in 1 vaccine at selected agencies, including M/s Krishna Lifecare Veterinary Hospital in Sector-122, M/s Singh Pet Clinic in Sector-29, and M/s Maxvets Hospital Pvt. Ltd. in Sector-50 Noida, among others, as per the authority's instructions.
