Sitting is the new smoking

One of the most menacing things that you can do to yourself while working is just sitting for hours. Not only it takes away the energy, but it also leaves your spine sore, frigid, and in pain.

Slouching is one of the assorted reasons for spinal problems in our lifetime. Don't forget that our spine is a part of the central nervous system along with the brain and leans on the peripheral nervous system.

What we eat can promptly influence your spine. It is very important to make sure you have good posture especially when you have prolonged sitting hours in the office.

There are certain guidelines on how to accomplish good posture:

Right sitting posture for office chairs:

  • Make sure your back is aligned against the rear of the office chair. Avoid slouching or crouching forward, particularly when you are tired from sitting in the office chair for a prolonged time.
  • Make sure your shoulders are straight while sitting in the office chair.
  • Make sure you are not sitting at one place for too long, get up and walk around.

Right Standing posture:

  • Avoid latching the knees.
  • Stand upright and tall with shoulders perpendicular to the ground.
  • Make sure your head is square on top of the spine, not nudged out forth.

Right walking posture:

  • Keep your shoulders suitably aligned with the rest of the body
