The material recovery facility centre is in shoddy condition at Vijay Nagar, Ghaziabad. The garbage is scattered all over the service road. The situation has worsened after recent spells of rain.
The local residents said that they face a hard time while passing through the material recovery facility centre. They said that a foul smell emanates from the centre.
It is located just opposite the Institute of Professional Excellence and Management. The photograph shows that the material recovery facility centre is not well managed by the authorities.
It needs immediate attention from the authorities as it can pose health hazards to people living in the vicinity. It is also not good for animals as they can eat hazardous items.
Nisha Rai, Secretary of Noida Federation of Apartment Owners Associations (NOFAA) took to Twitter to raise the issue, she said, “The garbage recovery centre needs to be in the four corners of the wall which is now spread to the whole service road.”
“The location is badly managed and has poor upkeep, dogs and cows can easily enter and eat the polythene which is scattered around. There is an open nullah that gets choked during rains because the garbage flows back to the open drains,” she said.
