The residents of Supertech Ecovillage 1, 2, and 3, Greater Noida, on Sunday protested against the builder for pending registry of their flats and many other issues at the society. After the protest, the residents met with the management over the issue.
Facility Head of Supertech, Nitish Arora and other officials met the residents after the protest. A large number of residents turned up for the meeting after a protest at Ecovillage 1. The Supertech management also called police to the protest site.
The residents complained that due to the pending registry of flats, they are bound to pay more interest on their home loans. They said that they cannot sell the flat even in difficult situations.
Many residents also said that despite paying high maintenance charges, they are also not getting basic facilities. One of them even said that the maintenance charges should be stopped.
During the protest, the residents made it clear they are not going to fall into the false promises of the builder this time. They said that they will continue with the protest till the registration is done. They were also miffed by the deduction of maintenance charges from prepaid meters.
The residents alleged that the builder tried to shift all the responsibility on the authority. As per them, the builder has assured to address the issues by Monday evening.
A resident of Ecovillage 1, Vijay Singh said, “We are very upset. Supertech will have to waive off our maintenance charges completely.”
Raj Kumar, a resident from Ecovillage 2 said, “We are here not to listen to false promises but to get the maintenance charges completely waived off.”
A resident of Ecovillage 3, who attended the meeting said, “How long will they continue like this? Neither the administration nor the builder listen to us. We gave full money for the house but still, we are being cheated. We are not afraid and will continue to fight for our rights.”
