Staying sweat-free isn't rocket science, it's easy-peasy

The country's capital -- is a landlocked city. The distance from the sea gives Delhi an extreme type of climate with the prevalence of continental air for a bigger part of the year. The summers are very hot and winters very cold.

The temperature rises to about 45 degrees Celsius in summers, though the average temperature experienced in Delhi is around 39-40 degrees Celsius. There are about 4-6 days of heatwave when the maximum temperature of a day rises 4-6 degrees Celsius above the normal values. Adequate precaution has to be taken on such days before going out in the hot summer afternoons.

The combination of sweating and summer typically go hand-in-hand. Instead of letting sweat beads roll down your face whenever you head outside for some time in the sun, follow these tips that will make your summer a whole lot less sweaty:

Stay hydrated

Drink early, drink often, and drink again. Hydration plays an important role, especially when it comes to sweating. It helps in keeping your body cool in the scorching hot temperature. The key to keeping this internal air conditioning system working properly is drinking enough fluids throughout the day.

Avoid sweat-inducing spicy foods, caffeinated beverages

Summer is the perfect time to hit up your favorite spicy street food but unfortunately, all that heat you're bringing into your mouth could amp up your sweating to the extreme. The caffeine might boost up the amount of sweat you're producing. Instead of coffee or any other kind of tea, you can switch to taking lemonade and moderately spiced food in summers to keep your body cool.

Relax your mind and body

Anxiety can increase sweat production. It's hard to do anything when you have sweat dripping down your face all day and all night. It’s important to control anxiety by taking deep breaths and keeping focussed. Relaxed body is always a sweat-free body.

Deodorant to the rescue

Swiping an antiperspirant on your underarms and other areas, twice daily after your morning shower and before crawling into bed at night has proven to be more effective in controlling excessive sweat.

Follow proper deodorant etiquettes

Grabbing your stick just after a shower might sound very smart but the right way of doing this is to towel dry your body and avoid stacking up piles and piles of deodorants to block your sweat. Simply just swipe up, down and up and you are good to go for the rest of your day.

Wear breathable fabrics

Staying sweat-free isn't rocket science, it's easy-peasy. The basic trick is to wear the right fabric according to the weather. Basically, a fabric that won't trap in heat and moisture. The best choice of fabrics to beat the heat are linen, lightweight cotton, and airy georgette material. When it comes to the size, one should avoid wearing skin-fitted clothes instead opt for loose clothes. They keep the body breathing and keep away the moisture.
