FS Chahar, Deputy Director of Horticulture Department, was present during the plantation drive.
Namitha Chaudhary, founder of the NGO, said, “Trees play an important role in human life, from sustaining life on earth to stabilising soil, we are nothing without them. It is important to do our part by planting more and more trees for a better tomorrow.”
The plantation drive was carried out on DDA's land to control the pollution in the nearby areas and make it a green land.
RK Meena, Assistant Director of Horticulture Department said, “Plants such as bottle palms, terminalia, and ficus nuda were planted to enhance aesthetics at the roundabout. The roundabout will be fully developed with grass cover and other horticulture features by July 31.”
