As the second wave of corona hit us, a curfew was announced in the national capital around a month back. As the curfew was announced, a lot of long queues of people were observed outside liquor stores to fill up their liquor stocks in the curfew.
However, the Delhi government, on Tuesday, a day after Delhi started the unlocking process, permitted the home delivery of alcohol. The order can be placed through a mobile app or online web portal.
This comes after the request of liquor manufacturers to the Delhi government to permit the home delivery of liquor. In Maharashtra as well, the home delivery of liquor is allowed. After the setback given by the second wave of Corona, the Delhi Government has finally taken this into concern.
A lot of major cities across the nation were shut due to Covid and thus a lot of people could be seen gathering outside wine shops to get their liquor. This decision comes after the positivity rate in Delhi dipped below 1 per cent for the first time since March 19.
