Valentine's Specials: Couple's eco-friendly marriage gets ample support

One of the ways to celebrate Valentine's Day is by expressing your feelings to your love. It is not confined to specific region, people celebrate it all across the world. We normally associate Valentine's Day with couples. During this time of the year, CitySpidey presents to you a unique story of a beautiful couple who married recently.

Residents of Gaur City in Greater Noida West and working professionals Aditya Aggarwal and Madhuri Baludi got married on January 14, 2021. They were school friends and had a relationship of 14 years. They found a unique way to organise their wedding ceremony. They opted eco-friendly ways to organise the event.

Everything was planned and organised in a perfect manner, keeping the welfare of mother nature in mind. During the wedding, the groom entered the venue on his Yulu bike. It is such a rare sight. Most of the decorative items and food serving items were recycled and eco-friendly. No plastic items were used during the wedding.

Baludi’s friend Shweta brought Tulsi Varmala for the wedding. Instead of sweets, the couple gifted plants to the attendees of the wedding. The bride didn't wear any make up. Everyone wrapped their gifts in newspaper.

The couple did not print their wedding cards. All the invitations were sent by e-cards. Most of the members visited the venue on Yulu bikes.

According to Baludi, her friend Shweta helped her a lot. It was very difficult to find eco-friendly things for the entire weddings. In the beginning, they faced problems during the arrangement. The expenses for the wedding were below Rs 2 lakh.

She said, “Marriage is all about happiness and celebrations and happiness doesn't need money. In our society, most of the people go for expensive weddings, which is totally a waste of money.”

Aggarwal said, “It was very amazing and also a new concept. It was a very different concept, In fact, it was very encouraging for all of us. My friends were also inspired by this and they fully supported our idea. In the beginning, we all were nervous but all the things went great with the support of our family and friends.”
