Bollywood actor Rajiv Kapoor dies of cardiac arrest

 


Bollywood actor Rajiv Kapoor passed away due to massive cardiac arrest on Tuesday. He was 58 years old. Kapoor belonged to the illustrious Kapoor family of Bollywood.

He grew up in a family of notable film personalities. He was the third son of one of finest actors and filmmakers Raj Kapoor and younger brother of actors Randhir Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor.

Incidentally, Rajiv Kapoor's elder brother Rishi Kapoor died last year. He was suffering from cancer.

Rajiv Kapoor acted in many films during the early 80s. He made his debut with Ek Jaan Hain Hum in 1983. His other films were Aasmaan (1984), Lover Boy (1985) and Zabardast (1985).

But none of them were as successful as Ram Teri Ganga Maili, which was released in 1985. It was a hugely popular film. The film was directed by his father Raj Kapoor.

Kapoor also produced and directed films. He produced Henna in 1991 starring his late brother Rishi Kapoor. He directed Prem Granth.

The late actor also produced Aa Ab Laut Chalen in 1999.
