A fire broke out at the nursing room of Safdarjung Hospital due to short-circuit on Thursday afternoon.
However, no casualty was reported from the site. The fire broke out at the fourth floor of the building. People could see smoke coming out of the window of fourth floor around 1.30 pm.
The fire was doused within minutes. The fire brigade received a call about the fire this afternoon. The fire was controlled only after five minutes from the call to the fire brigade.
The hospital staff and police personnel available at the site immediately controlled the fire.
Earlier on September 16, a fire incident also happened at the Safdarjung Hospital. The fire had created a chaos at the hospital. Fire tenders were rushed to spot. They controlled the fire immediately.
The reason for fire was not ascertained at that time. The building was evacuated.
Safdarjung Hospital is one of the biggest hospitals in the national capital.
