444 new coronavirus infections in Delhi; active cases drop below 4,000 mark


Delhi on Friday reported 444 new coronavirus cases, taking the cumulative tally to 6,29,282. The number of new cases reported came out of 75,724 tests conducted on the previous day.

Of which, 38,839 were RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 36,885 were rapid antigen tests. The positivity rate was 0.59 per cent. The cumulative positivity rate declined to 6.81 per cent.

10 patients died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 10,654. 19 deaths were recorded on Thursday, 16 on Wednesday, 12 on Tuesday, 12 on Monday and 14 on Sunday. Delhi hospitals

823 patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 6,14,849 in the national capital. The recovery rate was 97.70 per cent.

The recoveries outnumbered the new cases on Friday. Active cases declined by 389 in the last 24 hours. Delhi has now 3,779 active cases.

Out of the total 12,380 beds in coronavirus hospitals, 10,909 are vacant. A total of 1,807 patients are in home isolation.
