227 new coronavirus cases in Delhi; positivity rate plummets to 0.28 pc

 


Delhi on Thursday reported 227 new coronavirus cases, taking the cumulative tally to 6,33,276. The number of new cases reported came out of 81,550 tests conducted on the previous day.

Of which, 51,404 were RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 30,146 were rapid antigen tests. The positivity rate was 0.28 per cent. The cumulative positivity rate declined to 6.24 per cent.

8 patients died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 10,782. 10 deaths were recorded on Wednesday, 10 on Tuesday, 8 on Monday, 8 on Sunday and 6 on Saturday.

246 patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 6,20,374 in the national capital. The recovery rate was 97.96 per cent. 

The recoveries outnumbered the new cases on Thursday. Active cases declined by 27 in the last 24 hours. Delhi has now 2,120 active cases.

Out of the total 9,103 beds in coronavirus hospitals, 8,099 are vacant. A total of 864 patients are in home isolation.
