The road located in Sector 5 near Ganinath Nukunj, Vivekanand, Mansarovar, and Kesarwani Apartments is in really bad shape. The surface of the road of about a kilometre is in a broken state and has developed cracks and potholes.
Due to its poor state, the commuters including bikers and cyclists are finding it difficult to pass through it. "The condition of the stretch is so bad that it has become dangerous for the commuters. Many of them have got badly injured also," president of Vivekanand Apartments, Anwar Alam said.
Besides, residents of the nearby societies informed City Spidey that the road was repaired last time in 2014. Since then, there was no attention given by the authority concerned to keep it in a proper condition. People further alleged that despite making several formal and informal requests and complaints, no action has been taken so far in this regard. Dwarka News
Secretary of Ganinath Nikunj Apartments, AK Pandey said that a complaint was made to the then Mayor of SDMC, Kamaljeet Sehrawat, about the bad condition of the road, requesting her to get it repaired.
Responding on this issue, Kamaljeet Sehrawat, who is at present the Leader of the House, SDMC said, “ This road comes under the Delhi Development Authority so they would repair it. But I would follow-up this matter with them and try to make it get it repaired as soon as possible.”
Talking to City Spidey, DDA officials said that they would take the subject into their concern and do the needful.
