Residents of Ahinsa Khand II celebrated their monthly Raahgiri Day with a new theme of environment on Sunday. “Since the World Environment Day is just around the corner, we thought to dedicate this month to issues related to environment,” said Surabhi Gupta, a resident of the locality.
The residents conveyed their message of saving environment through placards. “We will plant as many saplings as we can during this month,” residents echoed.
A Delhi-based organization committed to plant 100 crores trees also attended the event and assured to support the cause.
The monthly event is organized on the first Sunday of every month. The event takes a specific theme each month and organizes activities around it for the rest of the days.
