Residents of ATS Greens-2, one of the luxury residential societies in Sector 50, Noida have complained against the abysmal state of their neighbourhood park. They said that the park has now literally turned into a dumping ground forcing them to stay away from it.
They said that heaps of garbage can be seen everywhere in the park. No cleaning and sweeping of the footpaths are being done.

"One cannot believe that it was one of the well-maintained parks," a resident claimed.
Vandana Maheshwari, a regular visitor of the park and resident of Sector 50 said, "The park besides A-57 in Block-A of the sector, lacks cleaning and regular maintenance. The facilities are getting deteriorated here over the years. Everything is lying in a dilapidated state."
Around 4 to 5 years ago, this park was being maintained by a private developer, who did landscaping and the park was restructured accordingly. It was looking so nice that many residents of the society used to visit it frequently. But the state is poor now, it is badly stinking. None of the residents wish to visit this park.
Maheshwari, a vigilant resident of the sector took the pain of talking to the contractor appointed by the Noida Authority regarding the maintenance of this park. She told that despite warning the contractor and on-duty gardener of severe action, they did not bother to clean it.
"Though, they say that the park will be cleaned but it seems to be lip service. It is sheer negligence on the part of the authority which fails to maintain the facilities developed for residents," she added.
City Spidey tried to contact officials of the Department of Horticulture, Noida Authority but they were unavailable to comment.
