Noida: Angry buyers demand hanging of developers for delay in possession

Angry over delayed possession and false promises made to them, home buyers' association launched a social media campaign against developers of group housing projects in Noida and Greater Noida.

They wanted builders, especially those who have been dragged in the Supreme Court for not giving possession of homes to their respective homes buyers despite of payments made, to be hanged for their deeds.

Annu Khan, President of Noida Extension Flat Owners Welfare Association (NEFOWA) said that there is no way forward for those buyers who have already moved to the Supreme Court seeking relief from the dishonest builders.

He said that it was expected that buyers would get relief but the expectations have not become reality with verdict in the cases being delayed.

Khan demanded that court should hang them for their misdeeds with thousands of homes buyers in these two cities. If they are hanged, buyers could solace themselves that the developers were punished for their misdeeds.

He added that governments have been repeatedly telling these developers to give keys to their respective homes buyers but no development is being seen on the developers part. It made buyers homeless and they have not any hope of getting home in near future.
