The Noida Federation of Apartment Owners' Association (NOFAA) has planned to come up with an initiative to enhance the 'green cover' of the city. They are likely to run a campaign for 50 days during which residents from different residential pockets of Noida are invited to take up the challenge of planting one sapling each day.
Talking to City Spidey, president of NOFAA Rajiva Singh informed that it would begin from July 1 and will continue till August 19. He said that the participant will have to plant saplings or seed balls during the course of the campaign. These can be planted in pots, nearby parks, roadsides or beside footpaths.

The federation has also decided to honour all those participants, who successfully take over the challenge of planting one sapling or seed ball each day during the mentioned period.
Singh concluded saying that on successful completion of the challenge, participants will be conferred 'eco-friendly' medals.
