Gurugram: Paras Irene residents celebrate 'World Environment Week'

Understanding the dire need to better the environment, the residents of Paras Irene, Gurugram, celebrated environment week by taking pledge to plant saplings. They urged all the residents to plant at least one sapling to make the environment better.

The residents took the responsibility to develop and maintain the green belt. Demonstrations were also held to stress upon the importance of different types of trees in the environment. Ways to protect environment were also shared with the people.



The chief guest at the occasion was Amar Deep Yadav who is a range one officer at the forest department of Haryana. The residents were provided saplings free of cost. Many illustrious people from the area graced the occasion to make it successful.

The students from Sudha Open School also participated in the event. They did ramp walk and staged drama to send a message to people about protecting the environment in best possible manner. They were later felicitated by the organisers. 

President of the society, GK Bhatnagar, appreciated the efforts of the residents in celebrating the event.
