Deputy general manager (DGM) of Saya Buildcon and the complainant, Shivendra Sharma, alleged that both of them plotted to defame him by setting the fire alarm ablaze. "Involvement of more people is also suspected," he added.
"The fire alarm uses 24V DC current to operate which cannot result in a short circuit that can lead to a fire. So, they did it deliberately to persuade inappropriate demands," Sharma in his complaint said.
Further, the DGM of Saya Buildcon claimed, "Due to the fire, 16 other alarms of the society have also been damaged. it has also caused damage to the company and threatened the lives of people."
Meanwhile, accused Gaurav Gupta has denied the allegation saying that the complaint had been filed against him and his wife to suppress them from raising several maintenance issues and questioning builder over unfulfilled promises. He claimed that he was off to Delhi for work and his wife had informed the GM and other senior officials of the society.
Manoj Kumar, station house officer (SHO) with Bisrakh police station, concluded saying based on the FIR filed, appropriate action will be taken after a thorough probe.
