The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has approved a provisional budget of Rs 4,260.40 crore for the financial year 2019-20 which is 17 per cent higher that previous year's allocation. The approval has come in the 114th annual board meeting.
The Greater Noida Authority also announced its share in the funding for the upcoming international airport at Jewar.

Narendra Bhooshan said in the board meeting, GNIDA has approved Rs 300 crore its share for the development of city’s first airport. While, Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has on Thursday claimed to have floated global bidding and has announced to share its funding.
The prominent allocations are - Rs 300 crore for Jewar Airport, Rs 100 crore for Noida-Greater Noida metro, Rs 431 crore for internal and external development, Rs 376 crore for urban development and Rs 200 crore for rural development.
“It was stressed in the meeting that the infrastructure of the city are of world-class and it is a challenge to keep it neat and clean. To maintain it systematically, best practices need to be incorporated,” said Narendra Bhooshan, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), GNIDA.
To address this, the Authority approved city sanitation policy, decentralised solid waste management policy, construction and demolition waste policy and faecal sludge & septage management policy.
Under the Prime Minister Awas Yojana (PMAY), the state government has given a target of 10,000 properties to the Greater Noida Authority. The Authority also approved the plan related to implementation of the PMAY target.
It was decided in the meeting that LED lights will be installed in the city to meet energy efficiency. Under this, LED lights will be used as street lights.
