RG Residency: Sewer water floods parking area; residents suffer

In yet another issue related to maintenance, the residents of RG Residency, a high-rise apartment in Noida's Sector 120, suffered hugely as the parking lot of the society remained flooded with sewer water for the past two days. However, the area was drained out on Thursday.

The sewage water rose to ankle-length, causing huge convenience to the people of the society as they were left with no option than going to the basement area to take out their cars.

Talking to City Spidey on this issue, a resident named Karan Bahal said, “The sewer water started flooding the area following a technical snag which occurred in a pumping motor installed at the society's sewerage treatment plant. It took the maintenance team almost two days to fix it.”

Soon after the technical snag was corrected, residents immediately demanded cleaning of the parking area as it will become a breeding ground for mosquitoes, posing severe health issues if prompt action was not taken.

Earlier, the developer of the RG Residency removed the upkeep staff following a face-off with the residents. Director of the agency providing cleaning service in the society was booked and produced before the city magistrate for disrupting peace and harmony in the society.
