Parents were informed about the rampant violations of Fees Act by school in details. Representatives were chosen to take the matter with the management of the school. They met the principal of the school to raise their issues. Principal agreed to cooperate with them.

Parents demanded complete scrutiny of fee hike by taking 2015-16 as base year. They requested for necessary changes in the fee hike. School’s management assured them of action in 3-5 days.

However, the school’s management said that they are not having any knowledge of orders issued by the District Fee Regulatory Committee (DFRC) mentioning compliance of fees according to Act by April 29.

The district administration had sent a letter to all principals of the schools operating in Gautam Budh Nagar.

In the letter, the district magistrate had written that there are many schools which are not complying with the Act. “There will be tough action against the schools which will fail to submit the affidavit by 11 am an April 29,” letter issued by the district magistrate read.

On a positive note, the school has agreed to extend the fee collection deadline from 20 to 45-50 days. They will soon be notifying all the parents about the decision through a SMS.

The management also assured to bring down the online payment surcharge which is Rs 250-400 at present. They also agreed to rationalise the rates of uniforms and books sold within the premise of the school.
