The home buyers of SVP Gulmohur Garden Phase II, a high-rise residential apartment in Ghaziabad's Raj Nagar Extension, on Sunday protested against the builder for offering the possession of flats without providing proper maintenance services, adequate security, and basic amenities.
The buyers alleged the project is almost complete but the builder is offering them to hand over the flats, making false promises. As a majority of the buyers have been assured of getting the possession, they are left with no option than accepting it.

“We were promised open parking at the time of booking the flats but the builder has now changed the project plan by converting it into hydraulic parking, that too without our consent! What is more shocking is the fact that hydraulic parking is nowhere mentioned in the agreement. It is a clear violation of the agreement signed by the builder,” the aggrieved home buyers stated.
The buyers pointed out that despite paying an advance maintenance fee for 30 months, they are struggling to get proper housekeeping, security, and daily services like power and water supply.
Besides, amenities like the swimming pool and clubhouse, for which each buyer has been charged, are yet to be made available.
Residents, too, have raised this issue and complained against the builder for providing poor facilities.
“I have read about such incidents where due to mechanical failure, hydraulic parking machines fell on the residents,” said Abhinay Srivastava, a resident of the society.
“Also, who would like to see cars and machines in open spaces,” Srivastava added.
Abhinay further added that an old manual diesel generator (DG) set has been provided by the builder for power back up but it takes 30 minutes to start it.
Moreover, the buyers have alleged the builder and his staff members are arrogant. “They just do not attend to us for any of the mentioned problems. We demand a proper solution to this issue,” the home buyers concluded.
Phase II of the SVP Gulmohur Garden had started offering possession in 2018. It has 900 flats and over 270 residents are presently living there.
