The District Fee Regulatory Committee (DFRC) is going to meet complainants over arbitrary fee hikes at various schools on Saturday at Gautam Budh Nagar.
Fee hike is a serious issue which has been affecting the parents in big way. Many protests have also been seen in different parts of the city recently.
Many schools have been observed flouting the Uttar Pradesh Self-Financed Independent Schools (Regulation of Fees) Act, 2018. There are complaints against nearly dozen private school against fee hike in the city.
The committee has asked the complainants to carry relevant documents in support of their complaints on Saturday. Parents have been asked to carry documents such as – Fee structure of the school since academic year 2015-16, amount of salary paid by the schools to the teachers and ward’s fee taken by the school since 2015.
Complaints are against DPS, Greater Noida; Ryan International School, Noida; Cambridge School, Noida; Khaitan School, Noida; Billabong School, Noida; Kothari International School, Noida; Father Agnel School, Greater Noida; Apeejay Public School, Noida; Modern School, Sector 11; Noida and Modern School, Chak Saberi.
The DFRC is also expected to take action against the violators after hearing the matter on Saturday.
Secretary of All Noida Schools Parents’ Association, Manoj Kataria said, “Immediate action should be taken by the committee against the violators. This will help in avoiding sudden fee hikes. Around 100 parents have complained against nearly dozen schools which needs serious attention by the committee.”
