While many societies celebrated Holi with high bass music, residents of Amrapali Village, a residential condominium in Indirapuram, celebrated Holi in rather peaceful manner with soulful melodious music.
The society indulged into a cultural night with folk music to celebrate the Holi. The excitement was high among residents as for the first time, the RWA organised a folk music night in the society.
The three-hour long music program made the evening splendid with artists performing folk songs of Punjab, Bihar. The residents were also enchanted by Urdu Qawwali.
Hundreds of Amrapali Village residents turned up to savour the folk numbers performed by local artists.
“We called various artists from Indirapuram. We all come from different parts of the country and many amongst us couldn't go to our native places on festivals. So, intent was to make them feel at home with regional music,” told Sonu Malhotra, an RWA member of Amrapali village.
“Children and especially senior citizens thoroughly enjoyed the evening,” Malhotra added.
