Residents of Sector 22, Dwarka, are demanding maintenance of an SDMC park behind Jagran Apartments and Dream Apartments. The swings are damaged and the slide is seen toppled on the ground.
Despite repeated complaints from residents, no action has been taken to repair the equipment.
President of Sukh Dukh Ke Sathi and a resident of Dream Apartments, Shashi Kapoor, complained, “The slide has been taken off due to rusting, but is yet to be replaced with a new one. Officer of the area from horticulture, SDMC, is aware about the situation. The swings are also broken. I have sent my request to the Leader of the House and area Councillor, Kaljeet Sehrawat, and am awaiting response.”
The park is surrounded by the societies like Chitrakoot Apartments, Dream Apartments, Himalaya Apartments, Classic Apartments, Jagran Apartments, Udyog Vihar Apartments and several others.
Residents from these societies use the park for morning and evening walks, and also use the facility of open gym.
The boundary wall, too, has been in damaged for nearly six months. It broke in a storm after a tree fell on it.
Pramila Malik of Jagran Apartments said, “The boundary wall must be repaired as soon as possible. It concerns the security and safety of the park.”
