Gurgaon: 3rd bus route launched covering key stops

Gurgaon’s city bus service, Gurugraman, launched a new route on Sunday—Route No. 215, which will connect Garhi Harsaru and Dundahera.

According to the officials from the Gurugram Metropolitan City Bus Service Limited (GMCBL) the bus route will cover 10 junctions on the stretch and will start at 6 am daily. The main stops include Kadipur, Pataudi Chowk, Civil hospital, Gurugram Bus Stand, Maruti factory and Palam Vihar Chowk.

The first route of the service was launched by CM Manohar Lal Khattar in September last year. This is the third route on the service.

The other two routes are—Palam Vihar to Ghata village and HUDA City Centre loop. The new route was launched by Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh.

On the third route, the last bus will leave Garhi Harsaru at 8.40 pm and reach Dundahera at 9.40 pm. The bus service will cover a distance of 15.7 kilometres and include 29 stops each way. This is an important route as it will provide connectivity to industrial and commercial areas like Maruti Udyog and Kadipur Industrial areas, as well as residential areas like Shiv Nagar, Sector 17, and Shakti Nagar.

According to the officials, ten buses will ply on the route completing a total of 70 round trips each day with a frequency of 10-15 minutes. The fare structure will be the same as that for the other two routes.

The officials added that the buses incorporated are low-floor, non air-conditioned vehicles. These are equipped with CCTV cameras, panic buttons, public announcement systems, wheelchair ramps, and passenger information systems (PIS).
