Soon, the NMRC will open Aqua Line for the public but the Authority has not been able to construct a single shelter for feeder buses running in nearby locations. Now, the Authority will start the construction and it will get completed in at least six months.
NMRC Executive Director PD Upadhyay said that the Noida Authority has to make shelters in the city only. For this, the letter has already been. However, the work is yet to be commenced.
SC Mishra, Deputy General Manager, Work Circle-2 of the Authority, told that a few days back NMRC has given a letter to make bus shelters in 157 places in the city.
After this, a consultant company will be hired to make these shelters. Expressions of Interest were sought from companies for this. After the tender finalises, the company will start working on it.
Mishra said that it will take at least six months to make them. If NMRC had earlier asked for it then it would have been completed by now. Now the letter has been given to the Authority's CEO, Alok Tandon. He handed over the responsibility to other officials.
Upadhyay said that there will be a board meeting on December 28. The fares will be decided at the meeting. Then, a date for the formal inauguration will be decided.
