A woman in Antriksh Forest, a high rise society in Sector 77, Noida, committed suicide on Friday at around 3 am by jumping from the fourth floor.
She was living in a rented accommodation.
“The woman was a news anchor for a private news channel. The security guard of the society informed the police when he saw the body. We rushed to the spot and sent the body for autopsy,” a police officer said.
Giriraj Tripathi, SHO of Sector 49, said, “At the time of the incident, Rahul Awasthi, the victim’s friend and also a news anchor, was also present in the flat. We have detained him for questioning."
