Man stalks married woman with gifts, bouquets in Noida; arrested

The Noida police on Thursday arrested a 26-year-old man from Sector 11 for allegedly sending bouquets and gifts to a married woman. The accused was headed to the woman’s house with a bouquet in his hands when the police arrested him.

In her complaint, the woman has alleged that the accused had been sending her gifts and bouquets for the past five months. She had filed a case against the accused in September, 2018 at Sector 24 police station.
The accused, Aditya Jaiswal (26), work in a software company in Jaipur as a software engineer. Aditya was blackmailing the woman and had even threatened to defame her family, said the police.

Pankaj Pant, SHO of Sector 24 police station, said that before her marriage, the woman worked as a software engineer in a Jaipur-based company where she had met Aditya. “They become good friends, but after a year the woman got married. For the past one year, she has been living with her husband in Sector 11, Noida.”

Aditya kept asking the woman to meet him even after her marriage but she refused and told him not to call her. He kept on calling her because of which she even changed her mobile number,” Pant said.

“He later started sending her bouquets and gifts every week. The harassed woman finally told her husband about the matter who asked her to lodge a complaint. A case was registered four months ago,” SHO explained.

The police said that even after the case was registered, the accused continued sending her gifts and bouquets. The accused was going to the woman’s house on Thursday with a bouquet when the police arrested him on a tip-off from an informer.
