The Residents Welfare Association (RWA) of Metro View Apartments is demanding from the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) to complete the repairing of roadside and drain inside the society in Dwarka.
The repairing is due alongside the flat numbers 489 to 593. The president of the RWA, Vinod Rawat informed that the work was done on only one side of the flats. He stressed that work should have been done on both sides.
“When you look at the stretch, you will find that the work was done on the only side. These flats have two faces. Hence, there are two roads. One side has been left unrepaired,” said the president of RWA, Vinod Rawat.
Rawat shared the detailed copy of the allotted work to City Spidey. He alleged that the expense of the work was not more than one lakh rupees. According to the copy of the letter, the work was allotted in August 2018 and it was to be completed in two months.
“The expenditure of the work would not be more than one lakh rupees. Now, I want to ask, where the rest of the amount gone? I have asked the subject to the SDMC people and also requested for the completion of work but they did not take any concern,” alleged Rawat.
According to the copy of the allotment of tender, the total budget for the work was Rs 7,92,402. Now, RWA is demanding the audit of the work and the money spent on it.
People of the society said that the SDMC had not done justice to the work which was under its jurisdiction. SK Singh, a resident said, “SDMC should look into the matter. The incomplete work must be completed.”
On the subject, Mayor of SDMC, Narendra Chawla said that he would take the subject into concern and do the needful.
