The multilevel parking at Sector 18 in Noida has become more advanced with introduction of the digital smart parking system having automatic push buttons, entry cards, magnetic sensors and LED display boards. noida news
The budget of digital smart parking system was Rs 7 crore. It was managed by DLF.
The LED boards direct the commuters to the vacant parking slots. They also display the floor where there is vacant parking space. It flashes red light at the occupied parking slots.
The whole parking area is under the surveillance of CCTV cameras. The cameras are equipped to read the number plates. The whole system is monitored at a central control room.
An official informed that they will also be launching a mobile app which will let the commuters book a parking slot in advance. The commuters will also be able to pay through Paytm or other means.
The multilevel parking was opened for public in January. It has the capacity to accommodate 2,800 cars across eight floors and 1,000 cars on the surface area.
The parking facility is available from 8 am to the midnight every day.
