Noida Authority earmarks spots for bursting firecrackers on Diwali

As per the Supreme Court’s order, the Noida Authority has earmarked 21 places for community fire cracking on the occasion of Diwali. The identified spots are located at parks and vacant plots across various sectors. Noida News

As these spots are not available at all the sectors, people will have to go to the nearest sector to burn firecrackers.

The office on special duty (OSD) of Noida Authority, Rajesh Kumar Singh said that they will inform people about the selected spots and will also request people to burst crackers at the designated places only.

Singh said that the residents can also suggest places for community fire cracking. “Noida Authority officials will visit the location and approve it after inspection,” he added.

A meeting also happened between district magistrate BN Singh and Gautam Budh Nagar SSP over the matter. The administration also sent a letter to the Noida Authority.

Last week, the Supreme Court had ordered that only green crackers with reduced emission will be allowed on Diwali this year. The Apex Court had also ordered that bursting of firecrackers would be permitted only during 8-10 pm.
