GreNo: Guards of high-rise Eros Sampoornam thrash a resident

Security guards of Eros Sampoornam, a high-rise in Greater Noida, thrashed a resident of the society today afternoon.

In a CCTV footage, which is being circulated on social media, five to six guards can be seen hitting the resident, Dinesh Kaushik, on the head, shoulder and back of the body. Angry residents immediately rushed to the Bisrakh Police station and have lodged an FIR.

Antariksh Kumar, an employee of society’s maintenance department, told City Spidey that an argument started between Kaushik and Prashant, a security guard, over the entry of iron grill into the society that the resident had ordered.

Kaushik, who lives on the 11th floor of the society, had recently shifted to Eros and interior work for his flat is still under way.

“The security guard had objected to the entry of iron grill as it requires prior permission of the management of the society. Reacting to this, Kaushik started hurling abuses on the guards leading to the fight,” Kumar said.

Kumar further said that the matter was immediately reported to the police who turned up at the scene and brought things to normal.

Meanwhile, the residents alleged that the builder has posted local goons in the society in the clothes of security guards. “They are here to work for the builder not for the security of the residents,” said a resident.

Anil Shahi, SHO Bisrakh Police station, said that an FIR has been lodged by the police against the security guard Prashant. “An FIR has been lodged under the IPC section of 322 (Voluntarily causing grievous hurt), 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation).
