Responding to the demand for a post office by Greater Noida residents, a proposal for one in Greater Noida West has been finally tabled.
The area has more than 20 high-rises, housing more than 50,000 residents, underscoring the importance of a post office in the area.
According to sources, temporary arrangements will be done at Bisrakh village post office near telephone exchange, but a permanent one will start functioning after Holi.
For Sector 1 residents of Greater Noida West, there’s a temporary post office operational in Surajpur area, and they can order online by using pincode 201306. Residents from other sectors can use the one at Bisrakh village till a new one comes up.
Talking about the difficulties with City Spidey, a resident, Suresh Napal, said, “If I want to order something online, I’ll have to furnish all the details, including the house address, a landmark and pin code. Residents here often complain of not receiving items they’ve ordered. It’s really a big problem.”
They, therefore, started an online campaign, Tweeting about the problems on the official handle of India Post.
