CM inaugurates SDM office in Dwarka; residents elated

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday inaugurated SDM office just in front of the Metro Station in Sector-10 of Dwarka. It has brought relief to the people as they used to travel to Kapashera or Najafgarh for their works.
People are elated that their works like making of income certificates, renewal of driving licence, caste certificate, aadhar card, registry of property would now be done in Dwarka itself.

On the occasion, Kejriwal said that door step services would also be started from September 10, 2018. People would be able to avail the services of SDM office without visiting there.

Kejriwal announced that a phone number would also be provided to the people through which they would be sending their service request and then an officer of Delhi government would visit the person and do all the formalities. The card thus would be sent to the person in a week or ten days.

“At first, 40 services would be provided through that mobile number. With the time, it would go up to 150 services. This is the first time that any government in the world has started this type of facility,” said CM.

In his speech, the CM exhibited his mood for the upcoming Lok Sabha election in 2019. He appealed people to give Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) full support in winning all the seven seats of Delhi. He added that the seven MPs of BJP did nothing for Delhi in four years whereas the AAP government did exceptionally well in development of the National Capital.

Kejriwal focused repeatedly on the point that if the people of Delhi would give him seven MPs in Lok Sabha then the pace of development would be 10 times more than what it was earlier.

During the inauguration, seven MLAs including finance minister Kailash Gehlot , social organisations, RWAs, farmers etc were also present.

People from surrounding villages were also present with their demands. A silver medalist in Kabaddi from nearby village was felicitated by the CM.

President of Ganpati Apartments in Sector-9, Khem Singh Bhati, was very happy with the opening of the new SDM office at Dwarka. He said, “This is a gift for us and I am very thankful to the Delhi government.”

According to the officials, a mini secretariat is also planned at the remaining part of the land where the SDM office was constructed.  The SDM of the area, Arun Kumar Jha, said that the work on architecture of the building was going on.
