Children of Kairali Apartments, Dwarka, raise supplies for Kerala flood victims

After senior citizens, it is now the turn of children to show their solidarity with the flood victims of Kerala. Children from various societies across Dwarka are taking several initiatives after school hours to raise funds for the affected and collect relief material.

Children at Kairali Apartment in Sector 3 have been busy collecting supplies from within and outside the society. They are also working hard to spread the message to people in other societies to come forward to help. Dwarka News

Some of those kids shared their videos with City Spidey talking about their efforts.

Rehna Velu, a resident of Kairali Apartments, said, “This weekend, kids went door to door to each of the 130 houses in the society and asked people to contribute wholeheartedly. The turnout was simply amazing. We managed to collect 40 cartons at the end of the day which have been sent to the Delhi Malayalee Association (DMA).”

Rehna further added that they have been trying to bring other societies together to contribute for the cause. “Our children are also talking to the residents of other societies to come forward and help the flood affected people .We will be organising more such collection drives in coming weeks,” said Rehna.
