The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has started preparations for ensuring safe traffic on the longest elevated road in the city. The authority will focus on controlling over speeding and wrong side driving on the elevated road.
As well, it has been decided to provide proper security to the vehicles moving in the night. High-resolution night vision CCTV cameras will also be installed on the elevated road. The cameras will be controlled by the modern control room situated at Vasundhara.
The vehicles moving without any hindrance from the UP gate to Rajnagar Extension will be thoroughly monitored by the CCTV cameras installed on it.
The officials sitting in the control room can easily trace the vehicles breaking rules on the elevated road. They will be able to take immediate action against these vehicles.
In the meeting conducted by a committee spearheaded by GDA Secretary, it was decided that a control room will be set up at Vasundhara to monitor speed radar and high-resolution night vision CCTV cameras.
A total of 16 cameras and 2 speed radars will be installed on the elevated road. The control room will be sending challan to the vehicles breaking rules on the elevated road. The control room will also be monitoring all the security on the road.
GDA will be floating a tender in the next month and the entire work will be completed in two months.
