Members of Federation of Noida RWAs (FONRWA) met the Rakesh Kumar Rana, superintending engineer of Paschimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (PVVNL), today to discuss frequent power breakdowns in the city.
AN Dhawan, general secretary of FONRWA, told City Spidey, “The power cuts are relentless — and there has been no improvement in the situation. Any sign of a storm or rain, there’s power outage. We want a permanent solution to this.”
During the meeting, Rana told FONRWA members that work on interlinking of 10 sub-stations of 33/11 KV is in progress. “Work on relocation of 10 sub-stations of 33kV and 11 kV capacity to the newly built sub-station in Sector 148 is under way.”
The 10 sub-stations include Sector 63E with Sector 63G; Sector 79 with Sector 117; Sector 137 with Sector 142; Sector 44 with Sector 45; Sector 11 with Sector 56; Sector 56 with Sector 58; Sector 56 with Sector 55; Sector 8 with Sector 25; Sector 10 with Sector 20; and Sector 3 with Sector 9.
The problem of trees touching the electric wires in various parts of the city was also discussed during the meeting. “Rana assured us that he will look into the trimming of trees and also have small sticks fixed on the cables. He asked details of locations where such work is required,” Dhawan said.
To register their complaints, residents can call the PVVNL help desk 012-4051950, or WhatsApp at 7290055824. The complaint will be sent to the area engineer for resolution, assured Rana.
